The game had to move to the poker room when the casino floor closed at 6 AM, but once they got there, it didn’t take long to finish it out. It was a bit more than 12 hours from start to finish.
Jihnny Dalphond started heads up with the leads, but Andrew Fair found a double when his tens held against Dalphond’s ace-king with a suit shortly before the move to poker. That put Fair into the lead, and once they moved, it only took a few hands at 200k/300k/300k before the final hand.
Fair had tens once again, this time with clubs and queen-five for kickers, against A♣Q♣9♦3♦ for Dalphond. The 2♦6♣K♦6♥3♥ board left the tens ahead, and Fair was the latest ring winner here at Deerfoot. Fair requested that the winners’ picture happen on Saturday, as it was already quite late, and he wanted to play the HORSE game at 2 PM Saturday, which was less than 8 hours away by then.
