Dorian Dizy opened to 10,000 from the button, and was met with a three-bet to 38,000 from Ruben Cortes in the small blind.
Matthew Gray was in the big blind, and he produced a cold four-bet to 120,000. After quite a bit of thought, Dizy five-bet jammed for a total of 380,000, covering both of his opponents.
Cortes was pained, and spent at least 90 seconds agonizing over his decision before folding, while Gray quickly called for his total stack of 270,000.
Matthew Gray: A♣K♠
Dorian Dizy: 7♥7♠
“Oh my god” whispered Gray when he saw his opponent’s holding, and he was up out of his chair.
Gray was able to sit back down again after he turned a king on the 8♠8♣6♣K♣5♥ runout, sending him a big double-up.
Cortes also celebrated, claiming he folded queens.
Matthew Gray – 585,000
Dorian Dizy – 110,000
Ruben Cortes – 205,000
