Heads up was fairly quick in this one, but there wasn’t a lot of action until the final hand. Early in heads up, there was a lot of raise-folds, and limps with check downs for small pots.
Shawn Taghavi shoved a few times, with Brian MacNevin folding and showing an ace, claiming to have a small kicker. It finally went in when Taghavi shoved his button with an ace, and MacNevin called it off with king-jack. MacNevin flopped his jack and that was all he needed to take it down.
The players cut a deal at the start of heads-up for both players to get $8,500 each, with the rest on the table to play for. That meant Taghavi’s share tonight was $8,500, while MacNevin got $9,160.
