David Lappin’s first bullet was an unfortunately short spell at the felt, and he kindly recounted the story of his exit to poker.pro.
Lappin defended 7♠4♠ in the big blind and flopped a flush draw on A♥9♠5♠, and led with a bet of 3,500 three way. After the opener folded, the small blind check-raised to 11,000, and Lappin put her to the test for her 22,000 total stack.
A quick call didn’t look good for Lappin, and he was in bad shape up against A♠2♠. The runout were bricks, and Lappin was left with 31,000.
He got it in a couple of hands later four-bet jamming ace-queen from the button versus the small blind, and was up against pocket tens, with the Irishman again receiving no help from the runout.
Not to be deterred, Lappin is straight back into the action.
