Cameron Stewart put on a clinic as he soared through the field of the NLH/PLO Mix to take down another PPT trophy. The event found 78 entries for a total prize pool of $29,640. He took home the lion share of $10,080 besting Anthony Madden in heads-up play.
Early on into the final table, Madden looked to be the table leader finding an early elimination on Ben Sarnelli. Madden continued to dominate to control over half of the chips in play with four players remaining. After Nu Teliani fell, stacks evened with under a 200,000 gap between the largest and smallest.
Stewart found an elimination onto Cory Rotar waking up with single suited kings in PLO against Rotar’s Queens. Trips on the board gave Stewart the stronger full house, and momentum into heads-up play. Madden battled back from being short-stacked before calling an all in with K♣Q♣. Stewart’s A♥8♦ turned two pair and the river was inconsequential for him to take the pot.
