After nearly 14 hrs of play, Daniel Luczyk and Iona Bliss have evenly chopped the $340 NLH Last Chance for $9,287.50 each. A field of 102 players came together to draw a prize pool of $38,760. Daniel Luczyk entered the final table, as the big stack with over a third of the chips in play.
Deven Lane picked off the short stack Sebastian Crema with a flopped set, and Luczyk followed having Michael St. Pierre-Porter dominated with big slick. Luczyk found Ace-King again to eliminate Brenda Robertson and have half of the chips in play. Lothian and Lane would fall shortly after jamming pre-flop against Mike Malm, and Iona Bliss. Both flopped a set to take the hand with Bliss making quad’s by the river.
Kevin Noble clung to life before to succumbing to Malm’s Ace from space to bring play three-handed. Three-handed play was a grind with stacks constantly moving from player to player. Bliss looked on the ropes, when both Luczyk and Malm called her short stacked jam. However, her Ace-King high was best to keep her in the running. Malm would fall shortly after losing a flip with pocket fives to Luczyk’s King-Queen. Shortly into heads-up play, Bliss would find a double spiking an ace on the river against Luczyk’s pocket Queens. The two agreed to an even chop with Luczyk taking the trophy for his slightly larger stack.
