Double Stack Closer is the Last Chance for an October Ring

2026 WSOP-C Oct
Date:Oct 12, 4 PM
Blinds:20 Minutes
Starting Stack:40k
Late Entry:12 Levels (Entries Close About 8:30 PM)
Day 1 Ends:One-Day Event

The final shot for a ring in Calgary in 2026 is the Double Stack Closer. As the name suggests, players get a double-stack of 40k to start the game, and play 20-minute blinds throughout the day.

Entries are open for 12 levels, putting the final chance to enter this Circuit series at about 8:30 PM Monday night. After that, the game plays down to the ring, with action likely going until around 4 AM at least. It’s not impossible that Day 3 of the Main Event could still be ongoing through much of this game, so coverage could be sparse until the big game finishes.

In January’s series, Josh Wallace was the top dog from 488 entries to take the biggest prize of the more than $161k prize pool. Last October, the final game was actually the Big 30 Stack, but Corey Arsenault picked up his second ring of the series when he closed it out over 298 entries for the top share of $88,440 in prizes.
