Nicholas Peterson raised to 120k from the cutoff, and George Broumas made it 350k from the small blind. Peterson called to the 8♦6♣7♥ flop, then called when Broumas bet 400k.
When the turn came Q♥, Broumas shoved, and Peterson snapped it off. He’d flopped a set with pocket eights, and had Broumas’s kings crushed. The 2♠ river was a brick, and Broumas was out in 5th place.
Meanwhile, Brady O’Hara has been playing the “fold to big money” strategy. His VPIP has been very low at this final table, folding nearly everything so far today, but the strategy has laddered him to the final four. He just scored a triple up after Broumas busted, so he’s still in the mix for the win.
