Roberty Ayton opened to 120,000 from UTG. Peter Flynn defended his Big Blind.
Flynn check-called a 75,000 bet from Ayton on the Q♠8♣5♣ flop. Both players then checked the 8♦ turn. On the river 10♠, Flynn bet 250,000.
“Good turn for you, huh?” Ayton asked his opponent. “Yes,” Flynn replied in a very sophisticated manner. Ayton sighed as he threw in the chips for a call.
It turned out that Flynn lied; it wasn’t a good river. “You’re good,” he said as he mucked his hand. Being a good sport, Ayton revealed A♥Q♦ as he scooped the pot.
Robert Ayton: 1,600,000
Peter Flynn: 830,000
