The penultimate day of the 2026 PartyPoker Tour Glasgow was action-packed, as the £500 Main Event was reduced to its final 12 competitors, two starting flights of the PLO Masters were completed, and Kieran Fleming and Alex Gleeson lifted side event trophies.
Lewis Henderson Leads Final Twelve in £500 Main Event
A total of 93 players qualified for Day 2 from 355 entries, with a record-breaking prize pool of £157,975 creating a £28,500 first-place prize.
PartyPoker Tour ambassador Daniel Garcia led the way at the start of play, ahead of David Gallagher and Nicholas Scott, with 55 places to be paid, and a minimum cash worth £1,000.
The knockouts came at a frantic pace from the outset. Henderson got off to a hot start when he won the classic race to bust Dean Lyall, while players such as Dara O’Kearney and Richard Kellett suffered early exits, Kellett when he ran ace-king into a duo of pocket queens.
The bubble came in the second session, and James Rooney was the unfortunate player to leave empty handed, when he was forced all-in from the big blind and missed the runout. Mark Johnston, Andrew Hawksby and Paul Lennon were among those who bowed out with a minimum cash, while PartyPoker Tour ambassador Rebecca Hardisty departed in heartbreaking fashion to Gallagher.
Daniel Gormley vaulted into the chip lead when he pulled a big blind special to secure a double knockout, before Robbie Bull went runner-runner to survive. Bull would take full advantage of his good fortune, ending the day second in chips.
Evan Docherty was the first player to depart when the field was reduced to three tables, in a brutal aces versus kings cooler against Abdul Mukit. Henderson busted Darren Harbinson to move up the standings, and Gormley ended Garcia’s run in 21st.
Henderson moved above two million when he came off best in a battle of the blinds with Ross Waite, and Gormley joined him when he cracked Joey Ibanez.
Gormley then ran the second nuts into the nuts against Bull, and PartyPoker Tour ambassador Niall Farrell’s tilt at the title ended in 16th. Henderson took a big pot against Bull, who once again proved to be Gormley’s nemesis when he turned a wheel straight to leave Gormley with crumbs, who would exit soon after.
Joel Baxter secured a crucial late double, before Bernard McGinlay was the last player eliminated, losing a flip to Mukit.
The players will return at 3 p.m. on August 9 for the final showdown, with a £2,050 payday guaranteed, and poker.pro will have full coverage of the finale.

Two starting flights of the PLO Masters were completed, with Callum Wallace (514,000) leading 6 qualifiers from 38 entries in Day 1b, and James Gibbons (584,000) topping six qualifiers from 40 entries in Day 1c, while Oliver Hutchins (481,000) is hunting another PartyPoker Tour trophy.
Those tallies brought the final figures to 19 qualifiers from Day 2 from 125 entries, creating a £26,875 prize pool, with the start of Day 2 chip counts below:-
