Robbie Bull has emerged triumphant at Alea Casino in the 2026 PartyPoker Tour Glasgow Main Event, securing the trophy and a £28,500 payday after defeating Abdul Mukit heads-up in a hard fought battle, making him the last player standing in the 355-runner field.
Bull has long been established as one of the UK’s finest, and is currently ranked in the top 400 tournament players worldwide, with this victory adding to his already stellar resume of almost $1.5 million in cashes.
Despite being accustomed to competing at higher stakes, the win was savored by the Edinburgh native, with victory on home soil tasting all the sweeter.

Winner’s Reaction
“It feels great, I’ve been playing poker in Scotland for 15 or 16 years and I haven’t won a trophy here! So to win one on home soil, with Glasgow on the trophy, feels extra special.
I was definitely playing for the win, the trophy meant quite a lot to me. I didn’t really feel any pressure so I was just able to play my game, and adjust appropriately to whatever strategy my stack-size dictated. I wasn’t playing to ladder for sure.”
On his final opponent, Mukit, Bull said “It was a lot of small ball and small pots, I was surprised it took so long for us to be at risk. Abdul’s a really strong player. We’ve been playing cash and tournaments together for 10 years, he’s from Edinburgh as well, we play all the time, he’s one of the most consistent tournament grinders in Scotland so it was a good battle, and was glad to win, I got lucky in the final hand and ran good in the all-ins for sure.”
Bull confirmed he has his eyes on the PartyPoker Tour stops coming up in Spain, but his immediate plans are to head to EPT Barcelona. He will certainly do so in good form.
Final Day Recap
Lewis Henderson led the 12 players who returned for the final day, with Bull sitting in second, while Mukit, who also final tabled the Mini Main earlier in the week, was in the middle of the pack.
After a slow start, a flurry of successive knockouts reduced the field to the final table in rapid fashion. While Alan Green was in the tank after Lewis Henderson jammed the river, two knockouts at the other table occurred.
First, John Woods picked a poor time to jam light from the small blind, running into Joel Baxter’s ace-king. Despite hitting the front on the flop, Woods was sent to the rail when Baxter went runner-runner to make a wheel straight.
In the next hand, Mukit eliminated short-stack David Carson. Meanwhile, Green was still in the tank versus Henderson. He eventually called off with pocket queens for second pair, and suddenly there were only nine left.
Final Table Action
Henderson had maintained his start of day lead over Bull as the final table began, while Mukit was in the middle of the pack.
Baxter started off strong, making a flush against Ben Crichton, before Chris Hendry became the first casualty of the final table when he ran an inferior pocket pair into Henderson’s aces.
Crichton then scored successive doubles against Baxter to soar up the standings. Jeff Cannon doubled up short-stack Gary Swan when ahead, but in the next hand got lucky to river a gutshot to bust Nicholas Scott in eighth. Swan’s wings were clipped when he exited after losing a flip to Crichton, who had now moved into the lead.
Matters started to go wrong for Henderson after he called off versus a three-bet jam from Mukit to see he was up against a better pair. A further confrontation between the runner-up and Henderson resulted in Henderson’s demise in sixth, with Henderson check-jamming the river with the nut flush blocker, but running into his foe’s set.
Mukit moved into a substantial lead when he pipped Baxter with a dominating ace to send the Northern Irishman to the rail in fifth.
Bull had been relatively quiet while chaos ensued around him, but held in successive flips to double twice in quick succession just before the second break, against Crichton and Mukit, vaulting him into the lead.
Shortly after the return, Cannon’s run came to an end in fourth, after he jammed the button but ran into Mukit’s premium holding in the big blind.
Crichton had become the relative short-stack, and he had to settle for bronze after he got two-outered by Bull when holding pocket queens. Bull and Mukit were almost dead level at the start of heads-up play, and traded blows for over 50 hands before they could be separated, with Mukit holding a significant lead at one point.
Bull came back into it when his top pair held versus Mukit’s bottom pair and flush draw, and after taking the lead, he went runner-runner to make a one-card straight while holding an inferior ace to Mukit, bringing the contest to an end and sending Bull the title.
The players shared a warm handshake, and Bull was left to celebrate a precious victory on home soil.
