The final day of the 2026 PartyPoker Tour Glasgow stop at Alea Casino went off with a bang on August 9, bringing to an end a fantastic week of poker.
After Robbie Bull sealed Main Event glory, Irish legend Dara O’Kearney secured victory in the £1,000 High Roller, while there were also wins for James McLean in the £250 PLO Masters Main Event, Raymond Peacock in the £250 Mystery Bounty, Craig Cadden in the £150 NLH Last Chance, and Dana Ameen in the £60 PLO 4/5/6 Double Board.
Robbie Bull Revels in Home-Soil £500 Main Event Win (£28,500)
Only 12 players returned for the final day of the £500 Main Event, where a huge £157,975 prize pool was gathered from a 355-runner field, with Lewis Henderson leading from Robbie Bull, and all eyes firmly set on the £28,500 first-place prize.
Henderson and Bull remained in the lead at the start of the final table, but Henderson would crash out in sixth. Bull was content to watch others hit the wall initially, but started to move through the gears when four remained.
After the exits of Jeff Cannon and Ben Crichton, the final showdown was between Edinburgh natives Bull and Abdul Mukit. A lengthy heads-up battle ensued, and Bull eventually went runner-runner to hit a one-card straight and end the contest.
Bull was delighted with the win, saying “It feels great, I’ve been playing poker in Scotland for 15 or 16 years and I haven’t won a trophy here! So to win one on home soil, with Glasgow on the trophy, feels extra special.
I was definitely playing for the win, the trophy meant quite a lot to me. I didn’t really feel any pressure so I was just able to play my game, and adjust appropriately to whatever strategy my stack-size dictated. I wasn’t playing to ladder.”
On his final opponent, Mukit, Bull said “It was a lot of small ball and small pots, I was surprised it took so long for us to be at risk. Abdul’s a really strong player. We’ve been playing cash and tournaments together for ten years, he’s from Edinburgh as well, we play all the time, he’s one of the most consistent tournament grinders in Scotland so it was a good battle, and was glad to win. I got lucky in the final hand and ran good in the all-ins for sure.”

Dara O’Kearney Wins £1,000 High Roller 7-Max (£11,550)
The £1,000 High Roller 7-Max attracted a total of 47 entries, which created a £42,300 prize pool.
Author, podcast host, Paddy Power sponsored pro and all round poker legend Dara O’Kearney was a popular winner.
A three-way deal with David Anderson and Robert Welsh left only the destination of the final £3,000 of the prize pool, and the trophy, to be determined, and O’Kearney was the last player standing. The Irishman banked £11,550 after defeating Anderson heads-up, which follows his runner-up finish in the same event in London.

A total of 125 entries created a £26,875 prize pool, and 19 players qualified for Day 2 to secure a minimum cash of £500.
James McLean took the trophy and £5,825 first-place prize, denying Sharaz Moad his second trophy of the week in the process.
