There wasn’t much in it when they counted down the stacks between Desni Mujcin and Ryan Callahan. Mujcin called off his stack after Callahan shoved early for 138k. Mujcin was playing 130k with ace-queen off, while Callahan was on what he described as “the best hand I’ve seen all day”, nine-eight of spades.
Once the rest of the table folded out, the runout turned Mujcin to Broadway with 2♠10♦K♠J♣8♦. Even with the turn to Broadway, Mujcin still had to fade the spade draw for Callahan. Callahan was left with just 8k behind, and he busted shortly after for 17th place. Willie Hernandez preceded him out in 18th place today.
