The Main Event is set to start on Friday with Day 1a. Players start the day with 40k in chips, and blinds are 40 minutes on Day 1.
Entries are open for 9 levels, putting the last chance to enter at about 7:15 PM, when dinner finishes before Level 10. After that, they play to 12.5% before the night is over.
This past July, Trevor Patrick took down the Main Event over a field of 306 entries. He took $61,273 from the $287,793 prize pool after defeating Jody Fayant heads up. Last November, Pav Braich got the first of his back-to-back Main Event wins, taking $38,626 in a deal from the $274,626 prize pool (292 entries).
