Ross Wilson was running pure for heads up tonight. They started about even, and stayed even for the first 15-20 minutes of two way play. While there weren’t many big showdowns, Wilson consistently took small pots through the endgame to chip up.
When the final hand came, Wilson was on more than 1 million of the 1.3 million in play, and it all went in on the turn. Wilson limped the button, then called with Sebastian Crema made it 45k. Crema made it 70k on the 10♥4♣8♠ flop and WIlson called, with Crema potting the 5♦ turn, then calling when Wilson repotted over top.
Crema was on jacks with king queen, but Wilson’s queens with seven-six was ahead, and the river didn’t change anything. Crema picked up second place tonight after winning the Deepstack Hyper last night, so he’s having a pretty good couple of days. For his part, this was Wilson’s first cash of the series, and he an extra $4,245 in bounties for his work tonight.
