Saroar Parvez Wins Event #1: $340 Seniors; Ali Razzaq Takes Home the Trophy

The first event of the PPT series was an action packed one. Saroar Parvez held a dominant chip lead and clinched the victory taking the top prize of $6,675. Meanwhile, Ali Razzaq won the deciding flip to add another trophy to his collection. He along with Jody Fayant, and Rob Lothian each chopped for $4,000 each.

The tournament drew a total of 91 entries to create a prize pool of $25,935. Parvez found an early chip lead into the day ahead of the field with 225,000. Lothian found an elimination on fellow reporter Lyle Bateman to soar past the 100,000 mark. With bubble pressure emerging, Parvez held a commanding chip lead. He had 460,000, with the next closest stack being Ali Razzaq with 268,000.

Seniors Ends with a Four Person Chop

Razzaq found an elimination onto Dana Shore to burst the bubble. From there, Parvez found elimination after elimination. He found 3 of the 5 final table knockouts to bring play four handed. The remaining players agreed to the chop with Parvez taking the majority holding over 1,600,000 in chips. Razzaq won the flip to add another trophy to his collection.
