Parth Mansukh was dominating the final five, but things got rough for him when they got to three-handed. Michael Khan took over the lead three ways for a short time, until two doubles for Stephen Klaamas put him in the driver’s seat, and he never got out.
That sent him from last to first in two hands, and he never looked back. He sent Khan home shortly after when Khan flopped best, but Klaamas ran out to a heart flush to send Khan home in 3rd.
That set up the final phase between Mansukh & Klaamas, and once again, Klaamas had to run out to the win. In the final hand. They both limped preflop, and Klaamas check-jammed when he flopped a pair of nines with nine-seven off.
Mansukh snapped it off with an overpair of queens, and looked good to double and make a game of it. That is, until Klaamas spiked his third nine on the river for trips and the win.
This looks to be Klaamias’s first live win, with a score that is bigger than his previous lifetime earnings.
