The Saturday night side game is the Team event. Teams consist of two players, with each player buying in for $180. They each get 25k in chips, and play individual stacks through the end of entries. Once entries are over, the team stacks are combined, and players alternate levels for the rest of the night.
Teams must be set before the first buy-ins, and teammates will not play on the same table while entries are open. That will likely mean short-handed play as the teams are forcibly separated to start.
The levels are 20 minutes long throughout the event, with 10 levels to enter or rebuy. Each team member can rebuy as often as needed before Level 11. 7% of the field will get paid in this one, as opposed to the usual 10%.
I’m not sure how much coverage this game will get, as it will run alongside what is promised to be a massive Day 1c for Event #3. I’ll catch the end of game action if possible, at least.
