Monday was the calm before the storm at the 2025 OlyBet Showdown Vilnius at Olympic Casino Lietuva with Turkey’s Bahadir Hatipoglu earning the sole trophy of the day after defeating a field of 50 entries to win the €250 PLO5 for €2,720.

Hatipoglu, who is edging on nearly $100,000 in live tournament earnings as tracked at The Hendon Mob, notoriously burst onto the Baltic poker scene in 2018 with his first international poker tournament cash coming in a big way with a fourth place finish in the 2018 Tallinn Summer Showdown €1,100 Main Event for €13,200. Hatipoglu was back at another big final table a few months later when he finished in sixth place for €15,200 in the 2019 Kings of Tallinn €1,100 Main Event. After Monday, Hatipoglu now earned his first trophy with many more on the line this week for a chance at another.

Meanwhile, the €555 NLH Championship kicked off with its first of its two opening flights with the poker.pro live reporting of this event beginning on Wednesday’s Day 2. Day 1a attracted 88 runners with local player Stanislovas Viničenka leading the way among the 24 survivors after parlaying his 30,000 opening stack into 249,000 in chips. Fellow Lithuanians Paulius Gaidulevicius (228,000) and Aurelijus Sipavičius (201,000) also cracked the 200,000 chip mark on Day 1a.

The poker.pro live reporting starts on Tuesday with the one-day €2,200 High Roller with the event beginning at 2 p.m. and coverage beginning at the dinner break as late registration is about to close and continue until a winner is crowned.

There is still plenty of time to battle in what promises to be a memorable OlyBet Showdown Vilnius from May 17-25 with 30 action-packed events. While this might be short notice for a last-minute plan, OlyBet is thrilled to announce the return of the third WSOP Circuit Tallinn on July 25 to August 3 at Olympic Park Casino.
