2025 OlyBet Showdown Vilnius

The 2025 OlyBet Showdown Vilnius was off to a rocking start, with nearly a packed house on Saturday for the opening of its nine-day poker festival at Olympic Casino Lietuva, located in the heart of the majestic Lithuanian capital of Vilnius.

The day began with a low-buy €20 satellite with five seats guaranteed to the two-day €250 NLH Opening Event. Instead, 65 players entered this unlimited rebuy affair to send 13 players into the target event, with Vladimiras Mečkovskis just missing out on the ticket and instead collecting €184 for his 14th place finish.

The €250 Opening Event attracted a banner crowd on its opening day with 149 entries creating a €31,141 prize pool. Kazimieras Ramaška leads the way over the final nine players in hopes of securing the €7,721 prize pool when the action resumes on Sunday at 12 p.m.

Meanwhile, the €150 NLH Bounty, which awarded a fixed €50 for each bounty, brought in 77 entries to create a €9,510 prize pool including €3,850 in bounties. Victor Shablinskiy earned the first trophy of the festival and the €1,314 top prize plus bounties after agreeing to a three-way deal with Gintaras Naglius (second – €1,200) and Edgaras Truskauskas (third – €1,100).

There is still plenty of time to battle in what promises to be a memorable OlyBet Showdown Vilnius from May 17-25 with 30 action-packed events. While this might be short notice for a last minute plan, OlyBet is thrilled to announce the return of the third WSOP Circuit Tallinn on July 25 to August 3 at Olympic Park Casino.

Victor Shablinskiy Earns First Trophy

Victor Shablinskiy isn’t a household name in the poker world as he came into the event with just one cash on his The Hendon Mob profile which was just a three-figure cash at a final table in October in the Vilnius Open Championship €150 NLH Bounty.

Perhaps bounties are his thing as he proved last night that trophies aren’t just reserved for those with a full resume of public cashes as he won a similar event in Event #3: €150 NLH Bounty for €1,314 plus bounties on Saturday evening.

Jari Hurri 2025 OlyBet Showdown Vilnius
Jari Hurri

Finland’s Jari Hurri made his first trip to the Lithuanian capital on a flag hunting mission similar to what he did in Riga before leaving the day after he cashed.

“I plan to do the same thing in Vilnius,” Hurri shared on Saturday to poker.pro. “I would love to see the city, but I will be jetting as soon as I capture my flag and onto the next country.”

While Hurri won’t be the only flag hunter in attendance with poker.pro’s Maureen Bloechlinger, who founded the Globetrotting Poker brand, will come out on Wednesday evening for a chance at a flag and a trophy. However, we don’t expect to see Bloechlinger do the same as Hurri who was deep in the two-day €250 Opening Event when he decided to hop into the €150 NLH Bounty.

Despite running back and forth, Hurri had a deep run in the €150 NLH Bounty only to go out two from the money. However, as we will soon learn, Hurri did advance to the final table in the €250 Opening Event, and we wish him the best of luck in making his first cash in Vilnius to come along with a coveted trophy.

Fellow Finn Roope Keminen had better success and min-cashed the €150 NLH Bounty for €185 after bowing out first on the final table in ninth place. The rest of the table was full of local players before Shablinskiy became the star of the day.

Kazimieras Ramaška Leads Final Table of €250 NLH Opening Event

While Eurovision was kicking off, players were busy deep on Day 1 of the €250 NLH Opening Event. Glenn Brown, who came out for the weekend for some Baltic poker action before heading out to sunny Las Vegas to host the Redtooth VEGAS100. While you can check out some of his social media over at poker.pro, you won’t be seeing a photo of him at least from Saturday holding a payout slip as he ran into a bad beat two players off the money when his top pair was unable to hold with king-queen against an opponent who just called with an overcard with ace-seven.

Aivaras Usevičius bubbled the event before Aušra Razmaitė became the first player to cash for €530 and was the final woman in the field.

Meanwhile, the 2025 Vilnius Ace Breaker champion Rasmus Sihvonen is back looking for more poker glory in Lithuania. While he didn’t advance to the final day, he did manage a decent start with a 12th place finish worth €660.

Lithuania’s Donatas Kulieša was the final player to hit the rail on the opening day as he bubbled the final table in 10th place for €750.

The returning nine players have each locked up €890 with a chance at much more with a €7,721 top prize on the line. Kazimieras Ramaška is in the driver’s spot as the only chip millionaire to start off the action with Lithuanian globetrotter Marek Žigel not too far behind. Jari Hurri is in the middle of the pack and is the only player outside of Latvia’s Dmitrijs Mihejevs not from the home country.
