Another Queens of Tallinn is in the books.
The fourth edition of the festival came to a close on Sunday night when Latvia’s Agnese Barca defeated Germany’s Annika Abmayr heads-up to capture the Main Event title, the €11,650 first-place prize and the now iconic gold Queens of Tallinn necklace.
A Record-Breaking Main Event
As expected, the €555 Main Event was the centrepiece of the festival.
The three-day tournament began on Friday, August 28, with most of the field entering on Day 1. Thirty-eight players survived the opening nine levels before returning for Day 2, where late registration remained open through the first three levels.
Once registration closed, the numbers spoke for themselves.
The Main Event attracted 108 entries, creating a €50,220 prize pool — the largest women-only poker tournament ever held in Europe.
Thirteen players reached the money, each guaranteed at least €1,090, while the eventual champion would walk away with €11,650, the prestigious Queens necklace and, above all, the Queens of Tallinn title.
The field gradually narrowed until Ukraine’s Yuliia Taran exited in tenth place, leaving the final table set. The action was streamed live on a 30-minute delay, with poker.pro Content Manager Jason Glatzer guiding viewers through the final day’s play.
The lineup featured some of the biggest names in women’s poker. Former champions Saara Benlamine (2024) and Giedre Valgemäe (2025) were both chasing another title, while last year’s runner-up Annika Abmayr returned looking to go one step further. Lithuania’s Indre Martoviciute-Kasten and Finland’s Anne Bezdek added even more experience to what was arguably the strongest Queens of Tallinn final table to date.
A New Queen Is Crowned
For much of the final table, Agnese Barca looked completely unfazed despite having only been playing live poker for a little over a year.
The Latvian continued to build momentum throughout the day before eventually overcoming Annika Abmayr in heads-up play to claim the biggest victory of her young poker career.
Remarkably, it was only Barca’s second recorded live tournament victory, making the achievement even more impressive.

Swedish Fish Win the Team Challenge
Among the 27 nationalities represented at this year’s festival were three Swedish players: Noelia Ivars Rico, Jenny Westerlund and Lisa Jadbäck.
Competing under the team name Swedish Fish, the trio also took part in the festival’s Team Challenge, where teams earned points every time one of their players cashed in an event. Two percent of every tournament prize pool went into the Team Challenge prize pool, with 60 percent awarded to the winning team and the remaining 40 percent shared between the runners-up.
While Barca stole the headlines, the Swedish trio quietly put together one of the strongest collective performances of the festival.
Noelia Ivars Rico once again demonstrated why she remains one of Sweden’s most respected tournament players, reaching the televised Main Event final table before eventually finishing sixth for €2,870 after her A♣K♠ ran into Barca’s A♥Q♥ in one of the key hands of the tournament.
Jenny Westerlund, last year’s WSOP Circuit Tallinn Main Event champion, continued her impressive record in Tallinn by recording three podium finishes during the festival. She finished runner-up in the €150 NLH Bounty, third in the €150 PLO4/PLO5, and runner-up once again in the €250 Progressive Bounty, underlining yet another remarkably consistent performance.
Together with Lisa Jadbäck, those results proved enough for Swedish Fish to top the Team Challenge standings and take home the team title.
