The 2026 WSOP Circuit Bratislava kicks off this weekend, with the €350 Mini Main Event getting the festival underway on Friday, July 31, at Card Casino Šamorín, located just outside Bratislava, Slovakia. Twelve WSOP Circuit Ring events are on the schedule, headlined once again by a €1,500 Main Event carrying a €1,000,000 guarantee.

While the WSOP Circuit has been a fixture on plenty of European felts for years, Card Casino Šamorín only welcomed the brand for the first time last summer. Now, poker’s biggest circuit brand returns to the venue outside Bratislava for round two and last year’s edition set quite the bar.
Just like this year, the 2025 festival kicked off with the €350 Mini Main Event, and the field was enormous: 1,154 entries blew straight through the €300,000 guarantee, building a €369,280 prize pool. Hungary’s Zoltán Szarka took down the tournament’s first ring, banking €56,000 and a package to WSOP Paradise in the Bahamas, which is by far the best result of his career. He got there by beating the experienced Ukrainian Sergii Baranov heads-up, who picked up €37,300 for second.
The €800 Bounty Hunter was another highlight, a format that has become a local staple with many dedicated festivals in this neck of the woods. A field of 145 pushed the prize pool past its guarantee to €104,400, split between regular payouts and €250 bounties on every elimination.
The win stayed on home soil, as Tomáš Vojtek beat Germany’s Lukas Frey heads-up for €18,106 plus bounties, with Frey settling for €11,798. A historic moment as it marked the first time a Slovakian player had won a WSOP Circuit ring on home turf.
Pot-Limit Omaha players had three rings to chase. Konstantin Petrushev won the €550 PLO Opener for €34,298, while Germany’s Jan-Peter Jachtmann took down the €5,300 PLO Super High Roller for €128,900. But the PLO centerpiece was the €2,500 PLO Championship, boasting a €1,000,000 guarantee.
A field of 354 battled for the prestigious title, and Georgia’s Vakhtang Javakhishvili claimed his first-ever WSOP Circuit ring, along with €201,000 and a WSOP Paradise package, after beating Austria’s Manuel Stojanovic heads-up. Stojanovic collected €132,500 for the runner-up finish.
Card Casino Šamorín has also just announced that this year’s Ladies Night event will be livestreamed for the first time. Defending the ring in front of TV cameras is Austria’s Jovana Keljacki, who won last year’s €350 event (with the prize pool guaranteed at €10,000) by outlasting a field of 31, including fellow Austrian Martina Goser, for a €3,606 payday.
The undisputed highlight of the 2025 festival was the €1,500 Main Event. A field of 882 entries pushed the prize pool well past its €1,000,000 guarantee to €1,109,700. After five days of play, it was Slovakia’s own Robert Obrtlík who sealed the win, entering the final table as chip leader and dueling Slovenian Erik Olivo for control of the final nine.
The heads-up battle was between the Slovakian and the Slovenian, and it was a quick affair. Olivo shoved pocket deuces, Obrtlík snap-called with fours, and when the final card hit the board, Obrtlík jumped in the air, pumping his fists before rushing over to embrace his daughter. A dream come true realized in the most emotional way possible.
Obrtlík collected €180,200, a gold WSOP Circuit ring, and a WSOP Paradise package in the Bahamas, while Olivo banked €120,700, still the best result of his career.
