The Canadian results keep rolling in from the 2025 World Series of Poker at Horshoe & Paris, Las Vegas. Gregory Katayama was among the big Canadian cashers on Jun 19, pocketing more than $15k for a top 30 finish in Event #52.
He led 4 Canadian cashes in that one, including Kristen Foxen with another cash on her 2025 scorecard. Yvonne Alton took down the biggest Canadian prize from Day 3 of the Seniors, leading 7 Canadian cashers on Thursday with just shy of $15k. There is still one Canadian left in the mix, looking to replicate Lonnie Hallett’s 2023 bracelet win in this event.
Ari Engel extended his lead in lifetime WSOP cashes with another cash in Event #55, while Daniel Negreanu also added another notch to his 2025 scorecard with a min-cash in Event #50. Ryan Chamas led 10 Canadian cashers in E54 with a score of almost $16k.
Meanwhile, Richard Mullen from Vancouver found the biggest bag out of 22 in Day 1b of the Millionaire Maker, Lawrence Rabie is on to the final 19 players in the Seniors with the #6 stack, Alex Livingston bagged yet another stack in E55, and former pro hockey player Greg Mueller leads 5 Canadians moving on from the Mixed Triple Draw Lowball game.
Canadian Senior Scores

Yvonne Alton was the biggest casher from the Seniors game for the Canadian contingent — at least so far. She pocketed nearly $15k leading seven Canadians out of the penultimate day, with Mike Leah, Igor Grinevsky, and Renmei Liu among the other cashers.
There is still one Canadian score yet to come from this one. Lawrence Rabie is in the final 19 players, taking the 6th place stack into the final day. Two years ago, Canadian Lonnie Hallett took down this bracelet, so the older Canadians have done well in this one of late. Rabie has just over 10 million chips for the final day, with more than $650k up top and $27,048 guaranteed.
Engel Extends Cash Lead

Alan “Ari” Engel is a mainstay at the WSOP as he closes in on cash #600. He recently took over the lead in all-time cashes from the late legend “Miami” John Cernuto. Engel scored a bit more than $3,400 for 105th place in Event #54 before hopping into Event #55 and scoring again in 25th place for $20k.
That gave him another double-cash day, and should put him one cash shy of 600. Given his pace of cashing in this series, it seems reasonable to assume he’ll be well over the 600 mark by the end of the series. Ryan Chamas was the lead Canadian from E54 for a score of $15,846, while Clayton Mozden grabbed 20th for $20,999 in E55.
Mullen Bags Big in Milly

The second flight to the Millionaire Maker saw 22 Canadians join 7 from Day 1a waiting for Day 2 to begin. Vancouver’s Richard Mullen was Canada’s big bag at the end of 1b with 260k for 32nd place. Colin McHugh, Benjamin Underwood, Sen Vijayaratnam, Deven Lane, DJ Sharma, Linyang Song, Nick Peterson, and Jacob Hobday are among the other Canadian bags from 1b.
