The Final Table

Starting the final table, David “ODB” Baker was the big chip leader with 50 big blinds, and closest to him was Pat Lyons, with 23 big blinds.

David “ODB” Baker opened from BTN, and Marcos Skerl called in BB. The flop came J♠4♣4♦, and Skerl check-called Baker’s bet. The turn was K♠. Skerl checked, Baker bet, Skerl shoved the remaining chips, and got a snap called by Baker. Skerl had Q♠10♥ and was drawing to four outs as Baker flopped trips of fours. The river came Q♦ and that wasn’t one of his outs, so he was eliminated in eighth place for $60,608.

Pat Lyons was already all-in from BB with 7♣4♣ on 9♠10♥7♥ against Wilson, who called with A♣A♠. Turn was 8♣, and the river was 2♥, eliminating Lyons in seventh place for $79,921.

David “ODB” Baker opened from EP with A♣A♦, Sam Laskowitz shoved from MP with A♠J♥, and Baker was the only caller. The dealer rolled K♥K♦10♦K♠5♥, making Laskowitz’s slim chances non-existent, and he was out in sixth place for $107,115.

Everybody folded, and Joseph Sabe shoved from SB with J♥5♥ and got snap-called by Ostapchenko, who was sitting in BB with 10♠10♦. The board ran Q♦10♥3♥K♥Q♠, giving both players shocks as the lead was changing on every street. It ended up in favor of Ostapchenko, who hit the full-house and eliminated Sabe in fifth place for $145,875.

Vamerdino Magsakay opened from UTG with A♠J♦, Baker called on BTN with 7♥7♦, and everybody else folded. The flop came 10♠10♥3♥, Magsakay pushed his remaining chips in the middle, and Baker called. The turn was 8♣, and the river was Q♠, missing Magsakay’s hand, which meant elimination in fourth place and winning $201,811.

David “ODB” Baker was short-stacked and shoved from the BTN with 10♥8♥, just to get called by Ostapchenko in BB with 4♣4♠. The board ran A♥K♣10♣2♣3♣, giving the lead to Baker on the flop, but runner runner clubs turned the tables and Ostapchenko hit the flush on the river and eliminated Baker in third place for $283,554.

The Heads-Up

Before a single hand was played in heads-up, Ostapchenko was a 3:1 chip leader and obvious favorite to win his first WSOP bracelet, but Wilson was still in the game.

The last hand happened when Brandon Wilson limped in from the BTN with 10♠3♠, Ostapchenko raised with Q♣Q♦, and Wilson called. The flop was 2♦3♦4♣, Ostapchenko bet, and Wilson called. The turn was 4♦, Ostapchenko shoved and Wilson called again, but this time he was all-in and in bad shape as he had to hit one of his two outers to survive. The river was 4♦, giving both players the full-house, but Ostapchenko had a stronger one, which meant Wilson was eliminated in second place for $404,532.
