A ton of action completed yesterday, with a few big stories shaping up for Canadians at the 2025 WSOP at Horseshoe and Paris. Ernest Chevrette holds the chip lead heading into Day 2 of Event #17: $2,000 NLH sitting with 728,000. Daniel Negreanu fell one short of his eighth bracelet, as he was the runner-up of Event #9: $10,000 Omaha Hi-Lo for $313,615.
Thomas Taylor and Miguel Proulx found a big bag in Event #15 and Event #16. They both found a 6th place finish heading into the following day. Also some Canadian on Canadian violence occurred as players were pitted against each other in some big pots.
Daniel Negreanu Falls One Short as Canadians Still Fight for Their First Bracelet of the Series

Daniel Negreanu was so close to finding his 8th bracelet. However, he fell one short exiting the $10,000 Omaha Hi-Lo in second place for $313,615. The tournament saw 217 entries to create a total prize pool of $2,018,100. Ryan Bambrick was the player to take down the event, finding $470,437 and his second WSOP bracelet. The KKPoker sponsored Christopher Alcindor found a cash finishing 27th in Event #15: $1,500 Mixed PLO Hi-Lo. For his effort he received $8,480. Other names to find a cash include Kyle Ho, Pablo Mariz, and Gaetano Dimaria. A full list of cashing Canadians can be found below.

Ernest Chevrette Bags the Chip Lead; Thomas Taylor and Miguel Proulx Bag Big Stacks

Ernest Chevrette stomped to the chip lead in Event #17: $2,000 NLH finishing the day with 728,000. Also finding a massive stack was Thomas Taylor in Event #15: $1,500 Mixed: PLO Hi-Lo. He is currently sixth with 1,755,000 in the event and is known as possibly the best Canadian to have never won a bracelet.
Miguel Proux also found the sixth biggest stack in Event #16: $600 PLO Deepstack. He currently sits with 1,805,000 and looks to capitalize and win his second bracelet. Daniel Negreanu currently sits in third place heading into Day 2 of Event #18: Dealers Choice 6-Handed with 255,000.
Canadians Jonathan Krela and Kyle Ho got it all in against each other in the $600 PLO Deepstack. Both players revealed their holdings.

Kyle Ho: K♦K♥J♦5♠
The board favoured Ho coming the A♠K♣9♣. However, the 10♦J♠ gave Krela a straight to keep him alive. He sat with 70,000 after the hand, while Ho had 95,000 after losing the hand.
