The final number on the board is 70 entries, but I’m still waiting on the prizes to confirm that number.
If it holds, 7 players will get a share of $19,250 in prizes later tonight, with an additional $14k in bounties in the field.

68 Entries to Start Dinner
Level: 8 (500/1000/1000) Entries: 29/68 Prizes: $32,300 ($18,700 prizes, $13,600 bounties) Local Time: 5:20 PM Dinner has just begun, and that means there are less than 30 minutes left to enter the Big Bounty game. The field to start the dinner break was 68 entries, but it seems likely that there will be several entries before the end of dinner, likely leaving the field somewhere between 70 and 80 when the desk closes. I’ll update the final numbers shortly after the dinner break is over.

Final Level of Entry for Big Bounty
Level: 8 (500/1000/1000) Entries: 33/65 Prizes: $30,875 ($17,875 prizes, $13,000 bounties) Local Time: 4:45 PM The combined prizes are now over $30k as the game enters the final level of entry. That puts the combined prizes at $27,550, with $11,600 of that in the bounty pool. Entries are still open for about 1 hour & 20 minutes.
-

Level: 5 (300/500/500) Entries: 33/50 Prizes: $23,750 ($13,750 prizes, $10,000 bounties) Local Time: 3:40 PM Level 5 has less than 5 minutes to play, and the field is at 50 entries. There are still two hours left to enter the game or rebuy, so it seems likely the numbers will push toward 70 or 80 before entries close after dinner.

It’s Time for Big Bounties

Event #9: $560 NLH Big Bounty ($300 + $200 + $60)
Date: May 12, 1 PM Blinds: 30 Minutes Starting Stack: 30k Late Entry: 8 Levels (~5:45 PM) Day 1 Ends: One-Day Event The main game on Tuesday is the NLH Big Bounty. The game has a flat $200 bounty on every player, with $300 from the $560 buy in going to the prize pool.
Players start the day with 30k in chips, and levels last for 30 minutes. Players can buy-in or rebuy through the start of Level 9, which should be about 5:45 PM. This is a one-day event, so they’ll award a trophy before the end of the day.
There wasn’t a version of this game in the first series of the year, so there’s nothing to compare to, and no defending champion to report on. I’ll be focusing on this as my main game on Tuesday, but expect me to be late to the game, arriving sometime after the first break.
