Calvin Lake raised the middle to 50k before Ashkan Razavi raised the button to 75k. Lake made it 75k, and Razavi moved all in for less than 100k.
Lake called for a race between his A♦J♦ and Razavi’s pocket eights. The eights were still ahead after the flop, but Lake hit his jack on the turn of 4♥7♣Q♦J♠Q♣. Razavi has a bg stack for Day 2 of the Main tomorrow, so though he likely wanted a deeper run here tonight, he’ll be well-rested for his Day 2 Main run, and Razavi nearly always finds his way to Day 3 here at the Deerfoot Main Events.
