Heads up in the PKO was a quick affair, and it ended in a race. Ed Sorenson opened to 50k, then called it off when Ali Razzaq shoved.
Sorensom had suited Broadway with A♠J♠ against pocket sixes for Razzaq. Sorenson took a big lead on the flop with two pair, and Razzaq bricked the runout of A♣J♦4♦Q♥2♥. The stacks were pretty close at the time, but when the chips were counted, Sorenson was the big stack by about 100k, taking the trophy and the win.
Razzaq was a bit of a wrecking ball through this one, pocketing $2,380 in bounties to add to his $5,200. Sorenson didn’t take nearly as many through the day, with $840 in his pocket at the end, but when Razzaq’s bounty of $3,725 was added in, he added $4,565 to his $5,200.
