The big damage happened when Eric Wasylenko shoved cutoff, and Preston Steven called off in the big blind. Stevenson was in good shape with A♦K♦ against queen-ten off for Wasy, but Wasy found a ten and held on a board of 10♠8♥5♣7♣4♦.
When the stacks were counted Stevenson was still alive, but barely, with just 3k behind. That was all-in from the small blind in the next hand, and once again he was in good shape against big blind Ali Razzaq, with Stevenson on nine-three of spades against five-deuce of spades.
It wasn’t Stevenson’s night, however, as Razzaq managed to find his five on a board of 5♦6♠K♠6♦4♥, despite the flush draw coming on the flop.
