Guangdong Dai opened to 1,200,000 from the Hi-jack. Seated right next to him, Steven Frew moved all in for 14,200,000. Then, Darren Harbinson committed his 5,400,000 to make the call for his tournament life. As if things weren’t already crazy enough, Tan Le then re-shoved for around 22,000,000 from the Big Blind. Dai did consider his options for a minute or two, but, in the end, he folded. The three contestants all tabled their holdings.
Steven Frew: A♥K♠
Darren Harbinson: Q♠Q♥
Tan Le: J♣J♥
What a situation this was. Harbinson maintained his lead on the 7♦7♣2♣, and he shared a roar with his Irish rail once he improved to full house on the Q♣ turn. After the ceremonial K♣ river, Frew bid farewell in eleventh place for £2,000, and Harbinson was quite thrilled to be back to a very respectable stack.
Tan Le: 25,000,000
Darren Harbinson: 18,300,000
Steven Frew: 0
