Lucas Garcia-Fayos opened to 16,000 under the gun, and was met with a three-bet to 36,000 from Carles Giner in the big blind.
Garcia-Fayos called to see the Q♥6♠2♥ flop, where Giner continued with a bet of 16,000, which failed to shake off his opponent.
The 6♥ hit on the turn, pairing the board and bringing flush possibilities. Giner checked to Garcia-Fayos, who took some time for thought before moving all in for 189,000.
Giner went into the tank, but made the call to put Garcia-Fayos at risk.
Lucas Garcia-Fayos: A♥6♦
Carles Giner: 8♥5♥
In a brutal cooler, Garcia-Fayos had trip sixes with the nut flush draw, but he was behind Giner’s flush.
The K♦ river was a brick, and Garcia-Fayos was sent to the rail on the bubble, bringing play in Day 1b to a close.
Carles Giner – 575,000
Lucas Garcia-Fayros – 0
