The side game on Thursday night is open to women only, with the $400 Ladies event. The game starts at 4 PM, and players get 20k to start the day.
Blinds are 25 minutes, and players can buy a stack anytime in the opening 9 levels of play, with entries closing about 8:15 PM at the start of Level 10. After that, they play to the ring.
In January, Anne Ngo won her second Ladies Ring here at Deerfoot over a field of 91 entries for prizes just over $90k, while last October, Jenelle Exner picked up her third ring from a Calgary Ladies game over a field of 103 entries ($33,990 in prizes).
