Payne Doubles in a Weird Spot

Sam Gottiparthi called with three 25k chips from the button before Dylan Payne shoved 1.085 million. In a single move, with no verbal declaration, Gottiparthi dropped 10k into the pot as he slid his cards over the line and pulled back one of the 25k chips, with the intention to fold.

The dealer announced call when the 10k hit the pot, and the house was called for a ruling. The house ruled it was a call, and the hand ran out with Payne on [invalid notations] for Gottiparthi. The board ran out 6♥7♣2♦7♥9♠ to leave Payne ahead with a pair of sixes, ace-high, for a double to more than 2 million.

That leaves them close to even, but Gottiparthi still has a bit of a lead.
