Scott Johnson bagged the big stack from Day 1a with almost 600k in his bag. That was more than 200k ahead of second-place stack Phillip Clingo with 362k. Chris Ruddell (who was 10th in the Seniors game Wednesday), Scott Goodwin, and David van der Torre also bagged 300k+ stacks in 1a.
Day 1b kicks off at 2 pm on Friday, and based on the 1a turnout, it looks like a good bet that 1b will cap 150 entries. 1a ended up just shy of 120 entries, a very solid showing for an opening flight on a $340 multi-day here in the Super Stack. There is already $33,630 moving forward to Day 2 from the opening flight.
Late entry is open for 11 levels with the final cutoff at about 8:45 pm, while the Day 1 flights will end when they play down to 10% of the starting field for each Day 1.
I’ll be focusing on this game for all the Day 1 flights before moving over to the side event once E3 bags.
