It was one of the most exciting days of the 2026 WSOP Circuit Bratislava so far. Two rings were handed out at Card Casino Šamorín on Thursday, with both one-day events stretching well into the night.
Ring Event #8, the €3,500 NLH High Roller, was won by Hungary’s Laszlo Molnar for €58,465, while the livestreamed Ring Event #9, the €350 NLH Ladies Night, saw Sweden’s Jenny Westerlund lift her second career ring along with a €5,990 prize. Thursday also brought the launch of the €1,000,000 guaranteed Ring Event #7, the €1,500 NLH Championship Main Event, and the last starting flight of Ring Event #5 €1,800 PLO Championship.

Westerlund Lifts Second Career Ring in Ladies Night
It was ladies’ night at Card Casino Šamorín on Thursday, with 64 players jumping into the women-only €350 NLH Ladies Night and nearly doubling the guaranteed prize pool to €19,456. The event was also supported by a livestream, with commentary from poker.pro’s own Head of Media, Jason Glatzer, and Bobby James.
After more than 12 hours of play, Sweden’s Jenny Westerlund defeated Hungary’s Monika Nagy-Meglecz heads-up to win her second career WSOP Circuit ring, along with the €5,990 top prize and a $5,000 WSOP Paradise Bahamas package. Her first ring came in Tallinn, where she won the €1,500 WSOP Circuit Main Event for €200,200. She’s kept up the momentum ever since, adding wins in the opening event of the 2025 Queens of Tallinn and the Queens Ladies event at the 2025 Kings of Vilnius, before capping it off with this win in Bratislava.

2026 WSOP Circuit Bratislava €350 Ladies Night Final Table Recap
Westerlund arrived at the final table as a big chip leader and set the tone immediately, growing her stack in the opening hands. It was Gabriella Boza, though, who claimed the first two victims, eliminating Valerie Slavickova’s ace-queen and Susanne Pettersson’s ace-king with pocket tens.
Next to go was Hyunsil Park, who shoved from early position with Q♥10♥, only for Svetlana Aubakirova to move over the top with 9♥9♦. The 9♠10♣8♣ flop left Park with a gutshot straight draw, and the 7♠ turn added a few chop outs, but the 7♥ river bricked, sending the Austrian out in seventh place.
Another cooler saw Adrienn Parkanyi head for the rail soon after. Aubakirova opened from under the gun with A♣K♠, and Parkanyi woke up with pocket queens and shoved. Aubakirova made the call. The 5♦4♥7♥ flop was still safe for the Hungarian, but a case A♦ on the turn changed everything, and the river didn’t save her. Parkanyi was out in sixth.
The next big clash came blind versus blind, with Boza opening K♦7♥ and Westerlund shoving from the Big Blind with A♥6♠. After some thought, Boza made the call. An ace right in the window on 4♦5♠A♦, but the Q♦ turn added flush draw outs for Boza. The river came a black 4♠, and Boza was eliminated in fifth place.
Soon after, Paulina Robaszynska shoved with K♦9♥, and Westerlund called with A♥4♦. Robaszynska took the lead on an 8♥J♣9♦ flop and a blank turn, needing only to dodge an ace on the river. But, as had become a theme all night, an ace hit the river, eliminating the Polish player in fourth place and handing Westerlund a commanding chip lead heading into the three-handed stage.
Monika Nagy-Meglecz then opened with pocket queens, and Aubakirova shoved from the Big Blind with ace-king. This time the queens held, sending Aubakirova out in third place and setting up the heads-up finale.
Westerlund started heads-up play with roughly a 1.5-to-1 chip lead, but it was far from over. Nagy-Meglecz actually seized the lead after an unsuccessful bluff from Westerlund, who fired with 7♦5♠ on a 3♦9♦2♣2♠8♣ board only for the Hungarian to look her up with J♥9♣.
Westerlund needed just two more hands to take it back and then finish the job. Nagy-Meglecz opened with Q♦J♠, and Westerlund three-bet with A♦K♣, Nagy-Meglecz called. The 4♥8♥J♦ flop gave the Hungarian top pair, and when Westerlund continued with a bet, Nagy-Meglecz shoved. Westerlund had little choice but to call. The 9♥ turn kept Nagy-Meglecz in front, but a case A♥ on the river completed the comeback, sending Nagy-Meglecz out in second place as Jenny Westerlund celebrated her second WSOP Circuit ring.
Molnar Wins All-Hungarian Final in €3,500 NLH High Roller
The High Roller also went deep into the night. The one-day event brought together 59 of the finest players currently in Bratislava, and the guaranteed prize pool was beaten, with the final tally settling at €184,965.
After nearly 14 hours of play, it was Hungary’s Laszlo Molnar who lifted the gold ring, the €58,465 top prize, and a WSOP Paradise Bahamas package, in an all-Hungarian final against runner-up Peter Krajnyak, who collected €37,290.
Molnar, from Budapest, is a seasoned player with more than $1.5 million in lifetime tournament earnings, but according to the Hendon Mob, this was still his first-ever recorded live tournament win, despite a résumé that includes runner-up finishes at two major WPT events, the 2019 WPT Gardens in Los Angeles and 2025’s WPT Slovakia right here at Šamorín, plus a career-best third place at the 2022 EPT Barcelona High Roller for €528,310. The WSOP Circuit ring is now his first major trophy.

PLO Championship’s Final Flight Falls Just Short of Guarantee
Thursday also brought the last of the three starting flights in the €1,800 PLO Championship. As we reported yesterday, the event needed more than 200 entries in its final flight to avoid a €500,000 overlay. Despite a valiant effort from the field, with 186 new players joining, this is the only event at the 2026 WSOP Circuit Bratislava so far that hasn’t reached its guarantee.
That just means extra value for the players. No complaints there, especially from the 41 who qualified for Friday’s final day and are already guaranteed a payday. Atop the leaderboard sit three players who all came through Day 1C. Czechia’s Lukas Vágner leads with 954,000, with Italy’s Dario Alioto right behind him at 904,000. Rounding out the podium is Slovenia’s Kevin Goršič with 885,000.

€1,000,000 Main Event Kicks Off With Day 1A
With such an action-packed day across the rest of the schedule, the €1,000,000 guaranteed Main Event actually comes last in today’s report. The first of five starting flights drew 242 entries, strong numbers that already suggest the guarantee could be crushed rather handily. Thirty-seven players qualified for Day 2 of this four-day mammoth event.
Hungary’s Laszlo Janoszki grabbed an early lead with 899,000, with home favorite Tomas Kubaliak close behind at 837,000. Austria’s Rudolf Kosa isn’t far off the pace either, sitting third with 799,000. Day 2 won’t be played until Sunday, giving everyone who bagged up plenty of time to jump into other events over the next couple of days.

Friday, August 7, 2026, Schedule at WSOP Circuit Bratislava
Friday’s ring action is headlined by two more Main Event flights, with Day 1B firing at noon and a fast-structured Day 1C following at 7 p.m., both still chasing the €1,000,000 guarantee. The PLO Championship crowns its champion on its final day at 2 p.m., Ring Event #10, the €3,500 PLO High Roller, launches at 5 p.m. with a €150,000 guarantee, and Ring Event #11, the €600 NLH/PLO Mix, rounds out the evening at 7 p.m. with a €50,000 guarantee.
The PLO Championship final table will also be livestreamed on the Card Casino Šamorín YouTube channel, with Bobby James and Jason Glatzer back on commentary duty. Here’s hoping the guys can pull it together after their marathon overnight shift.
