Day 1b of event #3 runs Friday at 2 PM, with 11 players already waiting for Sunday’s Day 2 from the opening flight on Thursday. More than $31k from Thursday’s buy-ins moves forward to Day 2 as well.
Mike Malm is the stack to beat for 1b players. He was the only player with more than 500k, bagging close to 600k. Full 1a stacks can be found on the final post for the opening flight.
Day 1b will be a redo of 1a, with a bigger field expected. Given the size of 1a, I expect 1b to hit 150 entries or more. The action kicks off at 2 pm, with 30-minute blinds.
Players start with 25k, and there are 11 levels of open-entry. The final chance to get into the second flight will come at about 8:45 PM on Friday evening. After that, they’ll play down to 10% of the starting field, no matter how long it takes.
1a went pretty quickly, with the final hand happening with 29:01 remaining in Level 16. It seems unlikely that either of the remaining flights will end earlier than that, so that is likely where Day 2 will start.
