The second flight to the Main Event is set to hit the runway at noon on Saturday, but players can board for the first 12 levels of play. Players sit down with 40k in chips to play 40-minute levels on Day 1.

Entries will close at the start of Level 13, which will be about 9:30 PM. After that, they play down to 10% of the field, or until the end of Level 15, whichever comes first. Note that, unlike other multi-flight games in this series, players who make Day 2 will not be in the money immediately.

After the opening flight on Friday, 20 players, of the 106 initial entries, still had chips at the end of Level 15. Chris Bryant is the big leader so far, bagging 581k at the end of 1a. Jamie Martin was just shy of the half-million mark for second place.

I’m expecting a field of well over 150 entries for Day 1b. If they hit 150, that will mean prizes of almost $330k, while a 1b field of 200 would push the prizes to just shy of $400k. A field of 206 for 1b would make over $400k in prizes, but they only need 128 1b entries for a $300k prize pool.
