Eduard Alabart opened to 40,000 from early position, and was met with a three-bet to 125,000 from Matt Staples in the next seat.
Hady Sirbu was on the button, and he produced a cold four-bet to 260,000. Alabart folded, but Staples quickly five-bet jammed for around 850,000 total.
The move sent Sirbu, with around 380,000 behind, into a world of pain. He spent the next two minutes muttering to himself about whether Staples had ace-king, stating he was ahead if so.
Eventually the clock was called, and Sirbu mucked as the time wound down, sending a chunk of dead money to Staples.
