Day 1b of the €550 Main Event has come to an end.
Just as predicted, the second (out of a total three) starting-day flights became bigger than Day 1a. In total, Day 1b registered 242 entries. Another €113,050 was collected towards the prize pool; the total one currently reads €218,975; that number can be expected to grow significantly, considering Day 1c (which just kicked off) is still to go. Late registration will also be open during the first four levels of Day 2.
When Level 9 concluded, 103 players received a Day 2 bag. Ukrainian Yevhen Pavlenko bagged the chip lead with 283,000, a fair bit more than the 219,500 Sweden’s Jawad Habib. While those two were the only who bagged more than 200,000, more prominent players who made it through includes prominent Estonian player Martin Piik, reigning champion Guillermo “GGordo” Gordo, 2025 WSOP Circuit Tallinn €350 Mini Main Event winner Simon Hesserud Persson, and US poker professional Robert Perelman.
They’ve all made it through to Day 2, which will kick off tomorrow (Friday, September 4) at 12:00. Before that though, as previously mentioned, there’s 1c. Day 2 will play down to the money; it’s going to be a wild ride.
