The third leg of the 2026 PartyPoker Tour is just around the corner, as Casino Gran Via Madrid is getting ready to roll out the red carpet. The PartyPoker Tour is all about combining good vibes with an appealing tournament schedule, and this year’s tour has been off to a stellar start thus far, with two successful events done and dusted. The poker.pro journalist/live reporter Christoffer Karlén has broken down the 2026 PartyPoker Tour Madrid schedule and reached the conclusion that it’s a perfect diversified mix of events.

Some Old, Some New
This poker.pro journalist/live reporter has run out of metaphors for the PartyPoker Tour. Let’s use one from the past: it’s the train that won’t stop rolling. It feels like the 2026 PartyPoker Tour is ongoing around the clock, and it wasn’t long ago that the second event of the year wrapped up in Seville. There, Francisco Garrido won the €500 Main Event for €30,500, beating PartyPoker Tour Ambassador Barbara Jiménez heads-up.

Now, it’s soon time for the third leg of this year’s circus, and it’ll once again be on Spanish soil. The 2026 PartyPoker Tour Madrid will be played between May 11-17 at Casino Gran Via Madrid. The said casino is perhaps one of the most picturesque card rooms in Spain; it embodies a mesmerizing spirit. This, of course, comes as no surprise, considering the beauty of Madrid overall as a city; it’s not one of Europe’s most popular tourist destinations for nothing.

The 2026 PartyPoker Tour Madrid schedule looks very promising. The tour targets grassroots players, meaning all poker enthusiasts can enjoy their favorite game for a relatively small buy-in. The cherry on top is, naturally, the €500 Main Event. The flagship tournament has a €100,000 guarantee, but with the recent Seville experience in mind, there’s a good chance there will be even more money to play for. There, 383 entries created a €170,435 prize pool, and it was a sign that live poker in Spain is hotter than their chili-glazed calamaris. In Madrid, the Main Event will have four starting-day flights, and 25% of the field in each flight will move on to Day 2. It’s a three-day affair, and a winner will eventually be crowned on Sunday, May 17, and join the other seven PartyPoker Tour Main Event champions in the Hall of Fame.
The “Little Brother,” the €150 Mini Main Event, also makes its return. It’s somewhat similar to the Main Event: four starting-day flights and three days in total. The difference (except for the buy-in) is that 15 % of the field from each starting-day flight will make Day 2. The Mini Main Event usually becomes the biggest tournament during the various PartyPoker Tour stops; for reference, in Seville, the tournament scored 653 entries, creating a €81,625 prize pool (making quick work of the €50,000 guarantee). Juan Fuentes emerged victorious, taking home the trophy and €9,770 (it’s worth mentioning that a five-way ICM deal was made).

Being the official English media partner of the PartyPoker Tour, poker.pro has once again been given the opportunity to have some self-branded tournaments on the Madrid schedule, something the editorial office is very grateful for. Thursday, May 14, the €60 poker.pro Thursday Party Madness Red River NLH Bounty will kick off at 22:00. The Red River concept is most likely unknown to the vast majority of players, but boy, does it bring an extra element of excitement to the game; it’s your ordinary Texas NLH affair, but if the river is red (i.e., a heart or a diamond), a second river card will be dealt. If that one too is red, a third one will be put out, and so on. The pot will then be split between the best hands; for example, if Player A hits a flush on the A♦ river, and the second river card is K♠, giving Player B a full house, they’ll get 50% of the pot each. Just imagine the thrill of being all-in on the turn, praying for a red card (or a black one, depending on your standing).
The poker.pro fun won’t stop there, as the €60 poker.pro Friday Party Madness Crazy Pineapple Bounty is scheduled for the next day, May 15. This exact tournament was also played during the Seville stop, and it was an absolute slam-dunk of a success. The poker.pro duo on-site, Christoffer Karlén and Glenn Brown (who is also a PartyPoker Tour Ambassador), both found time jumping into the tournament, and both of them managed to make the final table. This was, of course, thanks to sheer luck.

English media partner poker.pro is not the only entity that runs tournaments in conjunction with the PartyPoker Tour. The PLO Masters (created by UK poker legend JJ Hazan) has been a part of the PartyPoker Tour ever since Glasgow, August 2025, and there will be a total of four PLO Masters events in Spain. The most intriguing one is the €250 PLO Masters Main Event; players will be able to compete in the three various Day 1 flights, and 20% of the field will make Day 2. Day 2 will be played May 17, the final day of the festival, and then, a winner will be crowned.

It’s not all just the same old, though, and the Madrid schedule features some news. On Wednesday, May 13, there’s the very cheap €30 NLH Hyper. The winner shouldn’t expect a five-digit payout, but what’s neat is that there are three Main Event tickets added to those who finish in the top three. This is not the only tournament of its kind; there’s another identical tournament on Saturday, May 16, where the winner will claim an added ticket to the €1,000 NLH High Roller 7-Max.
Another highlight on the schedule is the €250 NLH Mystery Bounty. Nothing beats the thrill of a live poker Mystery Bounty tournament, and it became very evident in Seville that the Spaniards appreciate this format. PartyPoker Tour Ambassador Daniel Garcia claimed the win in Seville; Garcia is confirmed to join the party in Madrid, and time will tell if he can claim his second title on the tour.

These are just some of the highlights of a very intriguing tournament schedule. It’s a good mix of regular Texas NLH tournaments, some creative Mixed Games variants, and Hazan’s PLO Masters bonanza. Check out the full schedule below.

When PartyPoker made its return to the live poker scene in 2025, the expectations were high. From the first event in London, they set the bar high, and yet, they’ve managed to raise it with each and every event. There is zero chance that the 2026 PartyPoker Tour Madrid won’t be an event to remember, and in roughly three weeks, the cards will be flying at Casino Gran Via Madrid. The sun will be shining, and the poker action will be just as hot and heavy.
