Dave Howat opened to 25k from the cutoff before Jordan Banfield shoved 260k from the button. Howat made the call for what amounted to a race between his ace-eight and the king-jack of Banfield.
Banfield bricked the flop, but found his jack on the turn of 6♠10♦7♠J♠4♣. The jack gave Banfield the lead, but it also gave Howat a bigger draw to the spades, along with his ace. He bricked the river, however, and sent the double to Banfield, putting the WPT Global streamer up to about 600k and dropping start-of-day leader Howat to about 200k.
