Heads up lasted for almost a level. Dwayne Wong started with the chip lead, but Chen Qin quickly doubled back when he rivered a spade draw to crack Wong’s eights and take over the lead. After a ew smaller pots, Wong doubled back with another pair, sixes this time, against a suited king for Qin. This time the flush didn’t come, and Wong’s sixes held.
That put them roughly even in chips, and they decided to chop it down the middle. Qin took the official win, which was a little sweeter because he also got an extra $100 from his buddies, George Yang (3rd) and Robin Yuo (6th), for winning their last longer side bet.
