Dave Howat, Day 1b and overall chip leader after two flights in the Deepstack

Dave Howat was the big stack from Day 1b, and he eclipsed the 1a leader by more than 150k. Howat bagged 739.5k to put him in the lead after two flights, while 1a leader Scott Johnson is in second. 2nd place stack from 1b, Alicia Dodds, is currently third going into the final flight.

Day 1c kicks off at 2 pm on Saturday, and based on the 1ab turnout, it looks like a good bet that the final tally will push well over 400 entries with 150+ on 1c at least. After two flights so far, the field is at 264 entries with combined prizes of $77,430. The expected turnout for 1c should easily push those prizes into 6 figures. There are now 27 players returning for Day 2 from the first two flights and the expectation is that, after 1c finishes, between 40 and 50 players will still be in play on Sunday’s Day 2.

Late entry on Day 1 is open for 11 levels with the final cutoff at about 8:45 pm, while the Day 1 flights will end when they play down to 10% of the starting field for each Day 1.

I’ll be focusing on this game for all the Day 1 flights before moving over to the side event once E3 bags.
