It was a quick end to the Bounty side game on Saturday night. Jordan Panas shoved pocket deuces with the short stack, and Ramaz Haymour called it off with pocket fives. The fives held on a board of 9♥J♥6♦9♣Q♠ and Haymour had his second trophy of the series.
Haymour bagged his first trophy with four cards a couple of nights ago, and tonight he did it with two, but in both cases, it was in a Bounty game. This win also heats up the Player of the Series race as Haymour has a stack in Day 2 of the Main on Sunday, and he’ll no doubt jump up the rankings when tonight’s win is recorded.
He’s in Day 2 alongside leader Ross Wilson, so the results of the Main Event will almost certainly determine the PoS winner. That said, the Last Chance also plays out Sunday, so other top ten players could jump ahead with a win, depending on how the Main players do. Wilson and Haymour are likely the PoS favorites, but there are still a lot of variables going into the final day of action.
