Razzaq’s 617.5k is the Stack to Beat for Day 1b Players

Date:Day 1b: Sep 19, Noon
Blinds:40 Minutes
Starting Stack:30k
Late Entry:9 Levels (Entries close about 7:00 PM)
Day 1 Ends:12.5% of the Field; Players must bag to get paid
Day 1a Entries:7/57
Day 1a Prizes:$32,490

The first flight is in the books, with Ali Razzaq leading the way. He bagged a massive 617.5k to lead the way out of Day 1a, almost 300k more than second-place Alan Zhu.

Day 1b will be a copy of 1a, though I expect the field to be significantly bigger. The action gets going at noon, and they get 30k to start.

Blinds are 40 minutes throughout the event, and players have 9 levels on Day 1 to buy in or rebuy. That means the desk will close about 7 PM. After that, they play down to 12.5% of the field, with Day 1a finishing pretty early with 19:23 remaining in Level 16 (4000/8000/8000). I expect 1b to play a bit later, but the field size will ultimately determine that.
