It took a while to get there, but once they hit the money, the HORSE was at full gallop. They got into the money just before midnight, and the game was finished by 12:15 AM.
Remy Bhend, who won the TORSE ring here in the January WSOP-C, was the leader going into heads-up, and Sebastian Lampreau was never able to catch up. The final confrontations came during Stud8. In the second-to-last hand, Bhend bet all the way until 7th street, where they both checked. Bhend had a pair of queens, and with no low, he scooped the pot.4
The next hand, Lampreau was all in on 3rd street after he brought it in, then raised Bhend’s bet to get it all in. Bhend called, and while Lampreau ended up with a pair of sixes, Bhend found the cowboys by seventh, and once again there was no low hand.
