A pot of at least 15,000 had brewed on a board of Q♥8♦5♦7♠, in a hand between Marius Stanescu under the gun, Valentin Dita in middle position, and Miguel Angel Casares on the button.
Stanescu checked, and Dita fired out a bet of 5,000. Casares called, before Stansecu responded with a check-raise to 11,000.
Dita folded, but Casares called to see the 6♥ river, which was checked through. Stanescu tabled 8♥8♦ for a set of snowmen, and Casares mucked.
The river was pretty much the worst card in the deck for Stanescu.
