Pablo Garcia Wins Maiden Circuit Ring in €2,500 High Roller Event
The €2,500 High Roller wrapped up its opening day on Wednesday with a field of 187 entries, building a €395,505 prize pool that sits comfortably as the second-largest of the festival so far behind the Main Event. Sixteen players returned Thursday for the final day, each already locked into a €5,220 min-cash.
Austria’s Pablo Garcia had himself a day. Starting the day 12th in chips out of the 16 players who returned, Garcia navigated his way through the field to claim the €93,225 top prize, his first-ever tournament trophy, and a WSOP Circuit gold ring. He’ll also be flying to the Bahamas this winter for the WSOP Paradise, with a $5,000 package in his pocket.

It’s a remarkable result for a player with just three recorded live cashes to his name, all from this summer’s WSOP in Las Vegas, totaling a modest $6,216. Garcia has now walked through the front door of the European live circuit in the biggest way possible. He beat Sweden’s Marcus Petersson heads-up, who had to settle for €61,000 as the runner-up. Petersson’s countryman, Karl Sandoff, who carried the chip lead into the final day, ultimately finished fifth for €20,600.
