Saturday at the inaugural WSOP Circuit Malta, powered by TexaPoker, belonged to the Main Event. The €1,500 Main Event attracted 879 entries across its four starting flights to build a €1,115,451 prize pool, and on Saturday the field of 134 survivors was cut all the way down to a final table of nine at the Casino Malta. Poland’s Radoslaw Kopec leads the way with 8,200,000 chips, with €200,000, a gold ring, and a $5,000 WSOP Paradise package waiting for the winner. The final table will be streamed live on the Casino Malta YouTube channel, with commentary from our own Jason Glatzer.
Two other ring events also got underway with their respective Day 1s on Saturday: the €1,000 NLH Deepstack and the €550 Pot-Limit Omaha, with both final days scheduled for Sunday, alongside the Main Event. The €300 Colossus also ran its second-to-last starting flight, drawing 112 fresh entries.

Kopec Leads the Final Nine in the Main Event
Day 2 of the €1,500 NLH Main Event started with 134 survivors from the four opening flights, all of them already in the money. After more than 12 hours of play, the field was cut down to the final table of nine, and Poland’s Radoslaw Kopec is leading the way with 8,200,000.

The Polish player is heading toward the best result of his career, and he has some history with this very spot. A Main Event ring already slipped through his fingers once in 2025, when he finished as the runner-up at the WSOP Circuit in Middelkerke, Belgium. He’ll be hoping to finish the job this time.
Kopec is ahead of a pair of Italians, Matteo Ricco and Luca Topazio, who bring 6,900,000 and 6,700,000 to the final table. Italy is the best-represented country at the table with four players, alongside Alberto Cigliano and Nicola Bordignon, while Poland has two. Denmark’s Christoffer Jensen, who started Day 2 as the chip leader, managed to squeeze into the final table in current eighth place with 3,200,000.
Everyone at the table already has €14,191 locked up, but all nine are gunning for the €200,000 first prize and the coveted gold ring, with a $5,000 WSOP Paradise package to the Bahamas on top. Action restarts at 13:00 local time on Sunday, and you can watch the first-ever WSOP Circuit Malta Main Event ring be awarded live on the Casino Malta YouTube channel, with commentary from our own Jason Glatzer, on the usual stream delay.
