Reid is closely followed by defending Glasgow Main Event champion, Zhen Zhen (639,000), who is chasing a historic double in aiming to be the first player to secure Main Event and Mini Main Event glory, while PartyPoker Tour ambassador Rebecca Hardisty (482,000) completed the podium places.

Players have two further opportunities to qualify for Day 2 on August 4, with Day 1b scheduled to get underway at 2 p.m, while turbo flight Day 1c kicks off at 8 p.m.
In Day 1b, players will sit down to a 40,000 starting stack, with the clock set to 30-minute levels. Late registration remains open until the start of Level 10, and 15% of the field qualify for Day 2.
Day 1c follows the same structure as previous flights, but with 20-minute blind levels in play. The final opportunity for players to qualify for Day 2 is Day 1d, scheduled for midday on August 5, which features 15-minute blind levels.
Day 2 survivors will return at 6 p.m. on August 5 in the money, and play will continue until the final table is set, scheduled for 4 p.m. on August 6.
